I’m a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting from Massey University.
Over the years, I’ve partnered with small-to-medium sized businesses, start-ups, property investors, and not-for-profit organisations, helping them stay compliant while also focusing on growth and long-term success.
One of my specialist areas is resolving IRD tax debt and negotiating with Inland Revenue on behalf of clients. I know how stressful tax issues can be, so I work closely with clients to take away that pressure and give them confidence and clarity.
I also have a strong passion for technology and accounting systems. As an experienced cloud integrator, I lead system implementations and help businesses streamline their processes so they can spend less time on admin and more time doing what they love.
I’ve worked with clients across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, wholesale, IT, retail, public benefit entities and charities. I also bring experience in financial management roles, with a focus on reporting, internal controls, and preparing accounts for audit.
Outside of work, I’m a busy mum with a young family, so I understand the juggle many of my clients face in balancing business, finances, and family life. I’m passionate about supporting people not just with their numbers, but in achieving peace of mind and building a stronger future.
Above all, I value relationships. For me, being an accountant isn’t just about compliance—it’s about walking alongside my clients, understanding their goals, and helping them succeed.
Natalie Robertson
Senior Accountant
After graduating from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies (majoring in Accountancy), I’ve worked across the Manawatu since 2015. I joined HBT in 2020 and have loved my role as a Senior Accountant, working alongside clients from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.
I’m passionate about helping clients reach their potential and being part of their journey towards achieving exciting goals. Having lived and worked on a dairy farm for twelve years, I have a particular enthusiasm for the rural sector. That experience gave me not only a deep understanding of farming businesses but also a strong problem-solving mindset and the resilience to “get stuck in” until the job is done.
Outside of work, I’m an outdoors enthusiast and love spending time in nature. Whether it’s walking trails, enjoying the fresh air, or being around animals, it’s my way of recharging. I’m also a big dog lover — so if you bring up your furry friends in conversation, don’t be surprised if I light up!
What I enjoy most in my role is building genuine relationships with clients and supporting them through both challenges and opportunities. For me, accounting isn’t just about the numbers — it’s about people, their businesses, and the lives they’re working hard to create.
Paul McGlade

I am a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of experience in Public Practice, working with thousands of businesses across a wide range of industries. My focus is on helping clients succeed not only through meeting their compliance requirements but also by offering insights and strategies that drive growth.
I have specialist expertise in:
- Crypto assets (including $BTC, $ETH, and emerging digital assets)
- Investments and financial products
- Overseas income and international taxation
- Business reporting and performance tracking
- Online-based businesses – such as YouTube creators, Instagram influencers, and video game developers
I’m passionate about working with forward-thinking clients, particularly in the fast-evolving digital and online space, where clear financial guidance can make all the difference.
Outside of work, I’m a proud father, lifelong gamer, and e-sports fan. I also have a keen interest in crypto assets and venture capital investing, which keeps me on the pulse of new opportunities in business and technology.
